Praying For Peace by Ron DiCianni ~ The Bible tells us that wisdom can be gained by asking God for it. That’s called prayer. In full view of our nation, President Bush has courageously asked for Almighty God’s leading and wisdom. President Bush has also asked us to pray for him and the leaders of our country, recognizing the scope of the battle we face. Nothing less than Divine intervention will assure success as we endeavor to do the noble work of ridding the world of terrorism.

“Praying for Peace” was painted to help us remember where help can be sought-- and found. Washington and Lincoln kneeled to ask for it, and now our President is seeking it.

At the core of the struggle is Good versus Evil. These are the same enemies that have always competed in war. If the Good is to win, we must pray for the wisdom to move in the steps that God has ordained for us. Prayer will ensure that. The symbols in the painting, though secondary to prayer, are valuable reminders of what is at stake. --- Ron DiCianni
